Written Answers. - Water and Sewerage Schemes.
This scheme is included in my Department's 1998 water and sewerage services investment programme to be advanced through planning. The local authority's proposals for site and sewer survey investigations in connection with the scheme are under consideration in my Department.

Ceist:82 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if his Department will approve the upgrading of Ballina sewerage treatment plant with Beleek, Ballina, County Mayo. [12423/98]
The Ballina main drainage scheme is included in my Department's 1998 water and sewerage services investment programme to be advanced through planning. It is understood that the local authority is currently reviewing its proposals for the scheme, and its further proposals are awaited.
