276 Mr. P. Carey asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will have an examination made into the case of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 3 who understands that she should be entitled to an honours degree allowance rather than a pass allowance. [13621/98]

My Department has informed the City of Dublin Vocational Education Committee that an honours degree allowance is payable in respect of the qualifications in question. I understand that the VEC is making arrangements to have the appropriate payment made to the teacher concerned.
