32 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food whether the Competition Authority has reported on the allegations of uncompetitive practices to the detriment of farmer producers following referral of the matter to that body by his predecessor. [13472/98]

The Competition Authority has not as yet completed its investigations into the beef processing sector. I understand it is the policy of the authority not to comment on its investigations.
