72 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for Health and Children if his Department has finalised discussions with the Western Health Board in the context of a submission received from the board on its chiropody service needs; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14005/98]

My Department has received a submission from the Western Health Board on the development of chiropody services in the board's area. The implementation of these developments have considerable resource implications and will have to be considered in the con-text of the board's service plan for 1999.
