Vol. 492 No. 5

Written Answers. - Tax Allowances.

Michael Creed

Ceist:

88 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Finance if a person (details supplied) in County Cork is in receipt of her proper tax free allowances. [14649/98]

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that, according to the information available to the inspector of taxes, the taxpayer and her husband who are jointly assessed for income tax purposes are in receipt of their correct tax free allowances.

If the taxpayer and her husband would like to change the way in which their taxfree allowances are allocated between them, they should contact their inspector of taxes who will be pleased to advise them and make the necessary arrangements.
