87 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources the progress, if any, made to date in his Department in relation to preparations for the privatisation by way of sale of Coillte Teoranta, whose annual report was recently published; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The strategic plan for the development of forestry in Ireland, published in 1996, indicated that Coillte would be maintained in public ownership in the medium term, but that the full commercial development of the company would provide Government with a wider range of ownership options in the future. I am keeping the matter under review.
