Vol. 492 No. 7

Ceisteanna — Questions.

On a point of order, I ask that Question Time be extended by ten minutes. If the Taoiseach's Question Time extends for the full period, the time allocated for questions to the Minister for Education and Science will be shorter. That is unfair to Members who have tabled questions, and, notwithstanding Standing Orders, the Taoiseach's Question Time should be extended by ten minutes in view of the late start.

It is a matter for Standing Orders that the Taoiseach's questions should finish at 3.20 p.m.

I am asking that a Standing Order be waived to extend the Taoiseach's Question Time by ten minutes.

We cannot take a motion like that on the spot.

We are losing time.

We are losing more time now.
