Ceist:163 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Public Enterprise if her attention has been drawn to the widespread concern in the Cork Harbour region of the proposal by the ESB to erect a new line of high voltage power lines and pylons around the perimeter of the harbour so as to transfer additional power from the east side to the west side; if her Department has been consulted by the ESB in relation to this proposal; if she has received direct representations from any groups living in the area regarding this matter; if she has brought these representations to the attention of the board of the ESB; if she has requested the ESB to investigate alternative routes for this power line which would have less damaging impact upon the environment; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
