Bernard Allen

Ceist:

182 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Defence, further to Parliamentary Question No. 130 of 4 June 1998, the reason for delays from seven to nine months in processing voluntary resignations in view of the particular requirements of DFR R5 that these be processed without delay; if the delay is on the military or civil side; and when these will be concluded. [16063/98]

The applications for voluntary resignations from FCA personnel in question are being considered in conjunction with other applications received in early 1998. They are in the process of being submitted to Government for decision and it is hoped that they will be concluded in July.
