231 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the reasons for the long delay in having a sewerage scheme in an area (detaills supplied) in County Kilkenny included in the water and sewerage services investment programme; and the plans, if any, he has to include this particular scheme in the programme. While a revised preliminary report for a sewerage scheme at this location has been submitted to my Department it has not been possible to advance the scheme because of the high level of commitments under the water and sewerage services investment programme, and the large number of other priority schemes competing for the available funding. I cannot say when it may be possible to approve the preliminary report.
