36 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Defence if he will provide an account of the current sail-training capabilities of the Naval Service; the plans, if any, for the future development of this facility; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18081/98]
The sail training capability of the Naval Service at present consists of one sail training yacht, the "Tailte". This is a thirty five foot DEFOUR type yacht capable of carrying a maximum of eight personnel.
I am advised by the Naval Service that this capability is adequate for existing needs.
