200 Mr. Stanton asked the Minister for Defence the number of serving personnel who were accepted into the various apprenticeship courses conducted under the auspices of the apprenticeship school each year for the past four years; whether any personnel currently serving in the Naval Service will be eligible to apply for the apprenticeship courses pertaining to the Naval Service recently advertised, and if he will make a statement on the matter. The information sought by the Deputy in relation to the number of serving personnel who were accepted into the various apprenticeship courses conducted under the auspices of the apprenticeship school each year for the past four years is not readily available. I will write to the Deputy with the information as soon as it is compiled. Eligible members of the Naval Service are welcome to apply for the apprenticeship places in the Naval Service which were recently advertised.
