Business of Dáil.

It is proposed, not-withstanding anything in Standing Orders and the Order of the Dáil of this day, that the Dáil shall sit later than 4.45 p.m. today and business shall be interrupted not later than 5 p.m. Statements on banking shall be taken today following the announcement of Matters on the Adjournment under Standing Order 21, and shall be brought to a conclusion not later than 5 p.m. today, and the following arrangements shall apply: Members shall be called in the following sequence and the statements in each case shall not exceed the times indicated — the Minister of State at the Department of Finance and the main spokespersons for Fine Gael and the Labour Party, ten minutes; the main spokespersons for Democratic Left and the Green Party, five minutes; Members may share time; following the statements the Minister of State shall take questions for a period not exceeding 15 minutes, and in the event that statements conclude earlier than 5 p.m., the Order of the Dáil shall not resume thereafter.
