255 Mr. Browne (Carlow-Kilkenny) asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of children in care who are in their home environment with help provided by the Eastern Health Board, in foster care with families, in residential care and in lodgings. [19421/98]
The information which the Deputy has requested in respect of the Eastern Health Board is as follows: (i) the number of children in care who are in the home environment with help provided by the Eastern Health Board is approximately 39; (ii) the number of children is residential care is 391; (iii) the number of children in lodging is approximately 125; (iv) the number of children in foster care is 1,158.
