118 Mr. Broughan asked the Taoiseach the percentage of the active population aged between 18 and 66 at work; and the way in which this ratio compares with the same figures for the EU and the United States of America. [19038/98]
The most comparable figures available relate to the percentage of persons aged 15 or over who are in employment. The relevant employment population ratios in April 1997 are as follows:
