160 Ms O. Mitchell asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will increase the maximum amount recoupable by local authorities for alterations, improvements and extensions for disabled persons in view of the recent rise in building costs and the large increase in applications to local authorities to avail of this facility. Improvements to the terms of the disabled persons grant scheme are under examination in the context of the Government's Action Programme for the Millennium. Pending decisions arising from this examination, I am not in a position to comment on the possible outcome.
