16 Mr. U. Burke asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands the number and nature of each ministerial order signed by her Minister of State since his appointment; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [19689/98]

There has been no requirement for the signing of ministerial orders in relation to the Irish language, the Gaeltacht or the Islands since my appointment as Minister of State.
