Written Answers. - Fishing Vessel Registration.
The vessel in question has been registered in accordance with the Merchant Shipping (Registry, Lettering and Numbering of Fishing Boats) Regulations, 1997. The owner of the vessel has queried the measurement by my Department's marine survey office of its tonnage. I would be pleased to arrange a further meeting with relevant officials for him, to facilitate an explanation of how the vessel was measured, and to address any further questions which the owner may have.
