Vol. 495 No. 4

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Breeda Moynihan-Cronin

Ceist:

117 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason the problem of digitisation has arisen again in County Kerry; and when a person (details supplied) in County Kerry will be paid his sheep and cattle headage grants. [20017/98]

In the processing of the area aid application from the person concerned, one parcel of land requiring digitising was identified. When this has been completed, payments based on the calculated area will issue.

Ceist:

118 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason persons (details supplied) in County Kerry are experiencing problems in relation to their application for sheep and cattle headage in view of the fact that their circumstances have not changed for a number of years; when they will be paid; the steps, if any, being taken by his Department to rectify the problem; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20019/98]

The area aid application for the person concerned has been processed. However, an overclaim exists on a parcel of land. The area aid unit will be writing to the person concerned about the matter.

Ceist:

119 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Kerry will be paid cattle and sheep headage; and the reason for the delay. [20020/98]

There is no record of receiving an area aid application from the person concerned. However, should he have proof that the application was posted in good time it should be forwarded to the area aid unit for consideration.
