251 Ms Cooper-Flynn asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason a person (details supplied) in County Mayo did not receive any correspondence excluding an acknowledgement letter regarding her application for compensation under the flood damage compensation scheme. [21209/98]

The application from the person in question was rejected as being ineligible under the criteria relating to forage area. The applicant was informed of the position on 21 May 1998.
