Ceist:597 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if the fines imposed in a court case (details supplied) have been paid in full. [21368/98]
Written Answers. - Payment of Fines.
I am informed that the court, in imposing the fines in question, allowed the defendants three months to pay and in default of payment, imposed a sentence of 12 months imprisonment.
One of the defendants has paid the fine imposed by the court. The other defendant has not paid the fine imposed by the court and a warrant for his committal to prison has been issued.
