340 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if his attention has been drawn to substantial difficulties and delays encountered in processing shared ownership scheme applications at Dublin Corporation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22841/98]
The administration of the shared ownership scheme is the responsibility of the local authority. I understand from the corporation that considerable efforts have been made to speed up the processing of shared ownership scheme applications and that approvals now normally issue within two weeks of receiving all the necessary documentation from applicants.
