All schools in the free education system have an ex-quota allocation in respect of guidance. The allocation to individual schools for a particular school year is determined by the enrolment at the end of the preceding September. The total ex-quota allocation in respect of guidance in the current school year is approximately 567 wholetime teacher equivalents. The question of allocating additional ex-quota posts in respect of guidance must be considered in the context of available resources.
