112 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the number of farmers who qualified for the farm retirement scheme to 31 October 1998; the number of cases being processed for each county; and the level of funding that will be provided for 1999. [25108/98]
The number of successful applicants up to the end of October 1998 and the number of applicants being processed at present under the scheme of early retirement from farming are set out in the following table. A sum of £73.2 million has been provided in the Government Estimates for 1999.
