77 Mr. Higgins (Dublin West) asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources the response, if any, he has made to the Irish Seal Sanctuary's application for funding with respect to the many demands on this organisation as a result of the stormy weather. [25348/98]

My Department has receved no requests for funding from the seal sanctuary. I understand however that such applications have been made from time to time to Dúchas, the Heritage Service of the Department of Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands.
