Ceist:

210 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if the Garda authorities will investigate premises (detailed supplied) in Dublin 7 in view of the fact that local residents say it is used by drug addicts for shooting up; and if they will arrange with the local authority to secure the premises. Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform (Mr. O'Donoghue):

I am informed by the Garda authorities that the premises, referred to by the Deputy, was visited by the Garda and found to be unoccupied. Dublin Corporation were contacted and the premises has since been boarded up.

The Garda have also advised me that proceedings have commenced to evict the present tenant of the premises referred to by the Deputy.
