49 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for Education and Science the sum of values of additional spending across all subheads within his Department's Estimates spent on primary, secondary and third level education in 1998; and the projected values for 1999. [25859/98]
The Abridged Estimates Volume 1999, which was published recently outlines the provision for each subhead for my Department and includes the percentage year on year change between the 1998 provisions and the 1999 allocations. The Revised Estimates Volume for 1998 contains the year on year percentage changes between the 1997 outturn and the 1998 allocations.
The 1999 Abridged Estimates allocations do not represent the total planned provision for my Department. The subhead allocations will be reviewed and adjusted in the context of finalising the budget and in the light of more up-to-date outturn figures.
