75 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Education and Science the proposals, if any, he has to have a broadly based cost benefit analysis carried out on the third level system; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25847/98]

Minister for Education and Science (Mr. Martin):

My Department undertakes expenditure reviews on its various programmes on an ongoing basis. As part of this review programme it is my Department's intention to undertake such a review in the third level area.
