Written Answers. - Visa Applications.
The person concerned was issued a visa and arrived in the State on 1 February 1988. He subsequently lodged an application for residency on the basis that he is the parent of an Irish born child.
My Department currently has on hand a number of applications from persons seeking residency on this basis. These applications are under consideration at present and I hope to be able to make decisions on them by early next year, at which time the person concerned will be informed of the outcome of his application.
