Ceist:247 Ms Cooper-Flynn asked the Minister for Education and Science the reason a person (details supplied) in County Mayo has not been supplied with braille school books for the 1998-99 school year. [27005/98]

Braille versions of school text books are ordered by schools for their pupils who need them under arrangements established by my Department. My Department has made inquiries with the school and it is understood that braille text books currently being used in class have been supplied for the pupil in question and that further text books are being prepared.
