103 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if the decision not to grant approval to the Ballygarden district electoral division in County Roscommon under the fodder crisis scheme will be reconsidered in view of the fact that many of the farmers in this area will have their fodder supplies exhausted by the end of January 1999; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The fodder scheme is being targeted at the worst affected areas identified by Teagasc in its September survey. While some farmers in other areas were also affected by the fodder difficulties, the aim of the present scheme is to provide assistance to those who suffered the most hardship.
