309 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children if the case of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 20 will be examined with a view to ensuring that financial assistance is provided towards residence in a nursery home; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [27506/98]

As the Deputy is aware, the payment of a subvention towards the cost of private nursing home care in the Dublin area is a matter for the Eastern Health Board. I have asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate this case and respond directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
