Ceist:919 Mr. Spring asked the Minister for Education and Science the level of funding being provided in 1999 for the building of the north campus of the Tralee Institute of Technology. [1205/99]

Funding of the order of almost £14 million has been set aside by my Department to meet the cost of the first phase of capital developments at the Dromthacker site of the Institute of Technology, Tralee.
Infrastructural works have been completed on the site and the Institute will be in a position to invite tenders for the new tourism training and business-IT facilities. It is estimated that the institute will incur expenditure in the region of £5 million in 1999 on these developments.
