Ceist:

161 Mr. P. Carey asked the Minister for Education and Science if arrangements will be made to expedite the erection of palisade fencing at De La Salle school, Glasnevin Road, Finglas, Dublin 11, in view of the fact the school grounds have been extensively vandalised in recent weeks as mobile security cover is no longer available to the school; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Substantial planning work has been necessary for the proposed palisade fencing of the De La Salle boys national school, and the other schools in the area. This work has now reached an advanced stage. When all the planning work has been completed, a decision on the tender and contract processes will be taken. I am aware of the urgency of the project.
