222 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Finance the number and identity of persons appointed by him to various boards, agencies or executives since coming into office; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2643/99]

I have made the following appointments to boards, agencies or executives since coming into office.

National Lottery Company–Mr. Michael O'Muircheartaigh, Mr. Ray Bates, Ms Niamh McGowan and Mr. Paraic O'Rourke.

ICC Bank plc–

Mr. David Doyle (resigned on 18/12/98), Mr. Leo O'Donnell (resigned on 30/11/98), Mr. Eamon Freaney, Mr. Joe McPeake, Mr. Desmond Miller and Mr. Tom Considine

ACC Bank plc–

Euro Changeover Board of Ireland–
I invited the following organisations to nominate representatives to the Euro Changeover Board of Ireland and they nominated the representatives shown: Central Bank of Ireland, Mr. John Kelly; the Chamber of Commerce, Ireland, Mr. Hugh Bancroft; Office of the Director of Consumer Affairs, Mr. Paul McGarry; Irish Bankers' Federation, Mr. Frank Sexton; IBEC, Mr. David Croughan; Irish Congress of Trade Unions, Ms Patricia O'Donovan; Irish Farmers' Association, Mr. Con Lucey; Irish Insurance Federation, Mr. Michael Kemp; Irish Mortgage and Savings Association, Mr. Des Byrne; Irish Stock Exchange, Mr. Tom Healy; Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies-Ireland, Mr. Peter Kelly; European Commission Representation in Dublin, Mr. Paul Gormley; European Parliament Office, Mr. Jim O'Brien; Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Mr. Peter Fisher; Forfás, Mr. Eoin Gahan; Office of the Revenue Commissioners, Mr. Gerard Moran; Department of Public Enterprise, Mr. Tom Ferris; Consumers' Association of Ireland, Ms Caroline Gill; National Women's Council of Ireland, Ms Angela Ramsbottom and Community and Voluntary Pillar of Partnership 2000, Mr. Mark Seed. Since then, the following organisations have replaced their original nominees as follows: the Chamber of Commerce Ireland, Ms Adrienne Harten; Office of the Director Consumer Affairs, Ms Carmel Foley and Consumers Association of Ireland, Mr. Kieran Doherty.

Investor Compensation Company Limited–
Under section 18(3) of the Investor Compensation Act, 1998, I prescribe bodies which appear to me to represent the financial services industry to each nominate a director of the Investor Compensation Company Limited. I have prescribed the Irish Stock Exchange, the Irish Bankers Federation, the Irish Association of Investment Managers and the Irish Brokers Association.
