258 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if his Department will examine the case of a person (details supplied) who seeks funding to enable him and his family to return to live in Ireland; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2459/99]
There are no funds available to my Department to provide assistance to those seek ing to return to live in Ireland. From the details supplied it is possible that the household would have adequate financial resources to secure their own housing. Alternatively, the household might consider applying for housing to the local authority in the area in which they wish to reside.
