267 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he has received a submission from Mallow Urban District Council, County Cork, seeking funding for the provision of walls around the houses at Sandfield Estate, Mallow; and if he will provide funding for this project. [2682/99]
A sum of £127,000 was allocated to the council for refurbishment works which were completed at this estate in 1991. The council has been informed that the carrying out of any further works is a matter for them, to be funded from its own resources as part of its responsibility for the management, maintenance and improvement of its rented housing stocks.
