345 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Education and Science the progress, if any, to date in respect of the provision of home tuition for a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2529/99]
My Department's inspectorate has been investigating the special educational needs of the pupil in question and a number of other pupils attending the school. The school has sought the allocation of a resource teacher and a special needs assistant to meet the needs of the children in question.
I have asked my Department to expedite this matter with a view to ensuring that any special support which may be required is put in place as speedily as possible.
