Vol. 500 No. 5

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

John McGuinness

Ceist:

73 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources the reason for the delay in paying an afforestation grant to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny in view of the fact that full proof has been submitted to his Department regarding his tax affairs and investment in agriculture; and when payment will be made. [4488/99]

I am satisfied that the required documentation has not been received by my Department to date. A letter has issued within the last few days to the person in question restating the documentation required.

On receipt of this documentation the premium application will be processed.

John Perry

Ceist:

74 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources further to Parliamentary Question No. 182 of 27 January 1999, the reason it is necessary for a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim to supply her farm portfolio in view of the fact that she is a full-time farmer and has all documentation lodged together with a joint tax free certification; the reason she has not received her payment; if this grant will be immediately paid; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4489/99]

I am satisfied that the necessary documentation has not been received by my Department to date. The Forest Service of my Department has written within the last few days to the person in question confirming which documentation is outstanding.
