Ceist:22 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Finance the progress, if any, made in formulating a performance management system in the Civil Service; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5462/99]

The implementation of a new performance management system in the Civil Service is currently the subject of consultations with the Civil Service unions. These consultations are expected to be completed in March. It is anticipated that roll-out of the system across the Civil Service will begin as soon as possible thereafter.
