204 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the vacancy, if any, in the clerical officer grade in the regional veterinary laboratory, Hebron Road, Kilkenny; and if his Department will consider an application for transfer for a person (details supplied) in Dublin 2. [6142/99]
There is no clerical officer vacancy in the Regional Veterinary Laboratory in Kilkenny. The person named by the Deputy is a dairy laboratory assistant. There are no dairy laboratory assistant posts in the Regional Veterinary Laboratory in Kilkenny, nor is there normally interchangeability between the grade of dairy laboratory assistant and any of the grades employed in that location. Even in the event that she were a clerical officer, she would be subject to the Civil Service wide transfer list.
