105 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will make the necessary arrangements for a photograph of candidates to the forthcoming local elections to be placed on the ballot papers; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6297/99]

The question of including candidate's photographs on ballot papers at presidential, Dáil and local elections will be considered in the light of experience at the forthcoming European elections, at which candidates may have their photographs included in the ballot paper.
