117 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will sanction the provision of a resource teacher and a teacher's assistant for Ballylinan school, County Laois; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7428/99]
An application from the school in question for a resource teacher and a special needs assistant is currently being considered by my Department. I understand that a decision concerning the resource teacher application will be taken shortly. The need for a special needs assistant appointment in the school is currently being investigated by my Department's inspectorate.
