Burke asked the Minister for Education and Science when funds will be made available to County Galway VEC for the provision of canteen facilities at Athenry vocational school in County Galway in view of the fact the work is now complete at a cost of £20,000; and if he will make a statement on the matter. An application has been received this week in the planning and building unit of my Department from County Galway Vocational Education Committee seeking funding of £62,508 for canteen facilities at Athenry vocational school.
This application will be considered by officials in the planning and building unit and a letter will issue to the vocational education committee when a decision is made on the application.
