390 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the local authorities where the computer aided mobilisation procedure for emergency fire service calls is already in operation; and the date on which the system was initiated in each local authority. [9875/99]

391 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if his attention has been drawn to the possible financial loss to fire officers on the introduction of the computer aided mobilisation procedure for emergency fire service calls; the compensation measures, if any, he proposes to make up for this potential shortfall; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Issues arising in relation to remuneration of fire brigade staff are matters which are appropriately dealt with through the appropriate industrial relations fora. The operational efficiency of the computer aided mobilisation procedure is a matter for the individual fire authorities involved and I have no direct function in the matter.
