Vol. 503 No. 3

Written Answers. - Purchasing Power.

John Gormley

Ceist:

137 Mr. Gormley asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if her attention has been drawn to reports that people living in the Dublin region have a lower purchasing power of £44 a week compared to the midlands region; the plans, if any, she has to ensure that there is parity between the different regions of the country; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [9909/99]

I have no statutory function regarding differences in purchasing power between different regions of the country.
