Vol. 503 No. 3

Written Answers. - Marine Accidents.

Eamon Gilmore

Ceist:

159 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources if he has received the report of the chief surveyor of the marine survey office concerning the drowning which occurred at the Forty Foot, Sandycove, County Dublin in October 1998; if he will publish the report; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9997/99]

I expect to have the chief surveyor's report on waves and HSS operations in Dublin Bay shortly. I will then consider how best to make public any findings and recommendations contained in the report. I should, however, make it clear that the report in question is not into the drowning of a person which was the subject of an inquest in the normal way.
