Written Answers. - Fisheries Training Project.
I am currently working to secure support under the INTERREG community initiative for the funding of an extension by BIM to the Greencastle fisheries training centre. In light not least of growing training demands for the fishing, aquaculture and processing sector in the north west region and in the context of enhancing practical North-South co-operation in the fisheries area, I am confident that the necessary priority will be given to this project under the INTERREG programme.
In the event that INTERREG funding is not available, I will pursue other options to secure funding for the Greencastle project this year.
