Vol. 504 No. 6

Written Answers. - Compulsory Purchase Orders.

Róisín Shortall

Ceist:

65 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he has received the report of the inspector on the public inquiry into a compulsory purchase order in Dublin 11 (details supplied); if his attention has been drawn to the serious anti-social behaviour this area attracts; and if an early decision will be made on the matter. [12474/99]

A public local inquiry into the objections received in this case was held on 13 April 1999. The report of the inspector who held the inquiry is awaited. As my role in determining the order is of a quasi-judicial nature, it would not be appropriate to comment on any aspects of the matter at this stage. I will give my decision on the order as soon as possible.
