Vol. 505 No. 5

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Dinny McGinley

Ceist:

63 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when headage and premia will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Donegal. [14125/99]

The plot listed on the above named person's application form is overlapping with two other parcels of land, on the application form of two different herd owners. The above named and the other two herd owners have been written to, with a view to resolving the problem. Any payments which may become due cannot issue until the overlaps have been resolved.

Beverley Flynn

Ceist:

64 Ms Cooper-Flynn asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason the number of hectares listed for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo in 1997 for area aid dropped to 2.3 hectares for 1998 area aid in view of the fact his circumstances have not changed. [14140/99]

The above named applied for a total of 6.59 hectares on his 1997 area aid application form. However, at the time of going to print for the 1998 area aid forms, only one of the eight plots listed on the 1997 application form involving an area of 2.30 hectares had been entered into the Department's electronic data base. As a result the pre-printed information on his 1998 application form was confined to that parcel.

The person named listed plots totalling 6.30 hectares on his 1998 area aid application form. On being contacted by the Department he completed maps for the remainder of his land. The process of entering this land on the Department's electronic data base is now being completed.
